1954-87 GM Stepside Truck Hidden Support System

Maiden Speed has you covered with our Hidden Support System for 1954 to 1987 Chevrolet and GMC Stepside Trucks, that does away with those issues while giving you full adjustability in the positioning of your tailgate and  supporting up to 200 pounds!

This system consists of a pair tailgate assemblies that are bolted to either side of the tailgate and mild steel reinforcement plates that are welded to the bedsides and the rear bedsill. The tailgate assemblies are made of 1/4" Laser Cut 304 chosen for durability and corrosion resistance and pivot on a High Load Oil Embedded Bearing. The tailgate assemblies are available in either raw stainless or black Cerakote finish. The bedside plates are also made of 1/4" material but in bare mild steel for ease of welding. Like all of our kits, all stainless hardware and 3D printed drill/cut jigs are include along with an installation packet.  All cutting, welding, coating, and assembly is completed in the United States.
